Notice that in the Nutrient Density View, serving sizes are expressed in kcal rather than "normal" serving sizes. (This particular view is was set at 100 calories, but you can set it for any desired calorie level.) By comparing nutrients for the same calorie levels of similar foods, you have the ability to determine which foods provide the most nutrition for a given number of calories. Clients who are on calorie restricted diets should maximize the nutrition they get for each calorie they take in... this capability makes this easier to do than ever before.
