| NutriBase 7 is not Vista compatible, but you can run NB7 on a Vista PC if you install it and set it up as instructed for Vista. NB8 - due out in early to mid-2008, will be Vista compatible.
How to Install NB7 on a Vista PC. After the NutriBase Setup Program is finished, a text file will appear. You only need to read this text file if you are running the Windows Vista operating system on your PC. It tells you that before you start NutriBase 7 for the first time, you should... 1) Find the NB7 Program Icon on your Windows Desktop. Right mouse-click this Icon. Click the Properties option, then click the Compatibility Tab. Check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows XP (Service Pack 2) from the list. Notes If NB7 is installed in Vista's Program Files folder, NB7 must always be run as an administrator. If NB7 is installed outside the Program Files folder (for example, in c:\NutriBase), NB7 must be run once as an administrator for the initial NB7 set up (prior to running NutriBase for the first time), and... you must run NB7 with administrator rights again when you register NutriBase (by entering in the registration key that you get from us). If NB7 is already registered, then NutriBase doesn't need to be run as an administrator as long as NB7 is installed outside of Vista's Program Files folder. You can use Windows Explorer and simply drag your NutriBase Folder out of the Program Files folder and into the C: Drive Icon. That should do it.
