How to Conduct a PUF or PUI Search
A "PUF" is a Previously Used Food that you used while recording a Food Log, Meal, or Meal Plan. As you add foods to these things, they go into an alphabetical PUF list. Clicking the PUF Display button will display these foods for you. You can simply click on the desired food item to add it to your Food Log, Meal, or Meal Plan. This saves you time by preventing you from having to look up these previously used foods over and over again.

A "PUI" is a Previously Used Ingredient that you used while recording a Recipe. As you add foods to these things, they go into an alphabetical PUI list. Clicking the PUI Display button will display these foods for you. You can simply click on the desired food item to add it to your Recipe. This saves you time by preventing you from having to look up these previously used ingredients over and over again.

Click the PUF option, the PUI option, or both. Select a type of search. Enter a food name to search. Click the magnifier icon to conduct your search.

As in other types of searches, you have options. Click the down arrow next to the Search Type menu to see your other options.

We recommend you play with these options. Use them logically to get what you want. It would take an inordinate number of topics to demonstrate every possible thing you can do with NutriBase searches. Play!
